The threshold to learning a craft like photography has fallen from a gap into a spectrum: where improving meant joining photo clubs and subscribing to magazines, the socialization of sharing now exposes everyone to others' photos and lets them ask photographers directly how a shot was taken, lowering the threshold of learning something new.
