Technology Scales Skills But Not Deep Inquiry

Technology can let a great teacher reach hundreds of thousands and works well for skill-based fields like calculus or language acquisition, but it works poorly for the big questions of the human experience, because the binding constraint is the interaction between the student's mind and the material—not the quality of testing—and that interaction needs small groups.
